Hoffman Construction Company of Oregon has been selected as the Construction Manager/General Contractor (“CM/GC”) for the PSU Science Building 2 project. We invite you to submit a Sub-bid proposal and/or Material Quotation in your area of expertise and in accordance with the terms of the Request for Proposals (“RFP”). PRE-BID MEETING & SITE VISIT:
A Pre-Bid Meeting has not been scheduled for this bid package.

BIDDING INFORMATION:
Bidders must be properly licensed with the Oregon’s Construction Contractors Board at the time of submission of their bid. Contact Construction Contractors Board (Telephone 503/378-4621 or Internet http://www.oregon.gov/ccb) for additional information. Bidders are required to file a $30,000 Public Works Bond with the Construction Contractors Board in accordance with ORS 279C.836. Bidders must comply with requirements of the prevailing wage law in ORS Chapter 279C. Workers must be paid not less than the Prevailing Wage Rates for Public Works Contracts in Oregon, effective January 1, 2009 including Amendments dated April 1, 2009, as set forth in the Contract Documents. Bids must utilize the specified PROPOSAL FORM and be delivered or faxed to arrive at Hoffman Construction Company, 805 SW Broadway, Suite 2100, Portland, Oregon 97205, Bid Fax 503/221-8888, no later than 2:00pm, January 22, 2010. A completed Subcontractor/Vendor Questionnaire, including requested safety and financial information, must accompany your bid, unless it was previously submitted within the last 12 months. Bids will be opened in the presence of the Owner’s Representative. Bids received after the bid deadline will not be considered. Bids must be complete and clearly labeled: “Bid Package: #3 - Signage, PSU Science Building 2”.

Proposers must comply with the requirements of OAR 137-046-0210 relating to the solicitation, award and documentation of good faith efforts and achievements for sub-tier contracting and/or material purchases utilizing these firms. Proposer’s M/W/ESB participation commitments and their m/w/esb contracting strategies will be considered in the evaluation of proposals.
